Ink stains do not always disappear after washing, so special cleaning techniques are required. Below are a few effective methods:
- Soak a sponge or cloth in rubbing alcohol and dab the stain. Rinse with water and let dry. Repeat if necessary.
- Spray a generous amount of hairspray on the stain and blot with a dry sponge. Repeat until the stain is gone.
- Soak the garment in (butter)milk for half an hour, then wash as usual.
- You can also use special cleaning products designed for removing ink stains.
If color residue remains, use methylated spirits on dark fabrics and lemon juice on light fabrics.
Be careful when using strong cleaning agents such as alcohol. Always test on a small area first.
